This mod is designed for those who want to get the most out of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It optimizes game performance, increases FPS and eliminates freezes. In short, it makes the gameplay smooth even in the most intense scenes – for example, walking through densely populated cities.
Mod Features

- FPS limit is set at 60fps, but can reach 80-120fps on powerful systems.
Compatibility
The mod requires Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 version 1.2 or higher.
Installation Instructions
Step 1: Customize startup settings
If the game is installed via Steam:
- Open the Steam library.
- Right-click on the game and select “Properties”.
- In the “Launch Options” field, enter:
-heapsize 1572864 +exec user.cfg
If the game is launched manually:
- Locate the game shortcut.
- Right-click, select “Properties”.
- In the “Object” field, add:
-heapsize 2097152 +exec user.cfg
An example of a complete path:
- “C:\Steam\Kingdom Come Deliverance 2\Bin\Win64\KingdomCome.exe” -heapsize 2097152 +exec user.cfg
Important:
The value 1572864 is optimal for systems with 8 GB of RAM. If you have more, increase this value.
To check the installed memory of the PC:
Right click on “This Computer” → “Properties”.
Step 2: Install the configuration file
Download and extract the user.cfg file suitable for your system.
Place the file in the root folder of the game:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2.
Or in the Mods folder.
Check your CPU type:
Right-click on “This Computer” → “Properties” → find the “Processor” line.
Additional settings for KCD2 versions below 1.6
To improve CPU performance on older versions of the game:
Use BES CPU Limiter for load balancing:
Download BES CPU Limiter.
Start the game, open BES and select KingdomCome.exe.
Set the limit to -1% using the slider and activate the option.
Manual CPU load balancing:
Open Task Manager → Go to Processes.
Right-click on KingdomCome.exe → “Set dependency”.
Uncheck the checkbox of the most used CPU core, then activate it back.
Updating and uninstalling a mod
If the mod was previously installed, delete or replace the old user.cfg file before updating.
To remove a mod, simply delete the user.cfg file from the game directory.
